Hey Guys, Myself Teagan, lil sister Mia, Dad Leon and family friend Kieran are taking on this daring challenge- a charity bungee jump from a whopping 175ft, we are facing new fears, but also aiming to raise as much money as possible for this amazing local charity. Dons Local Action Group is a network of over 800 volunteers helping fight poverty in our local community.
Since the lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020, DLAG has supported those in need struggling during the pandemic by providing food, furniture and digital devices to those in greatest need in our local boroughs.
Food
We collect food donations in public spaces and supermarkets, and pack them into one-week food parcels to help those in immediate food poverty.
Furniture
We also collect and recycle furniture and household goods to households without the basics.
Digital
We also collect laptops for students in digital poverty through our Keep Kids Connected initiative. We erase and rebuild them and distribute to schools to enable children to access online learning.
We do all sorts of other local projects and events to help our local community, benefitting thousands of residents in need throughout Merton, Wandsworth and Kingston.
